TRUSSVILLE — The Wendy’s/BP on U.S. Highway 11 in Trussville was robbed at gunpoint early Saturday, according to the Trussville Police Department.
Lt. Jeff Bridges said that at about 12:40 a.m. Saturday, two black males — both with pistols — entered the Wendy’s and BP combination store on U.S. Highway 11. One of the men went to Wendy’s, the other to the BP, Bridges said.
Bridges said one of the men was wearing camouflage pants and a silver hoodie, and the other was wearing black pants and a black hoodie.
Bridges said cashiers at both businesses were robbed at gunpoint, and one woman in line at the BP was robbed of her cell phone at gunpoint. The safe at Wendy’s was also robbed, Bridges said.
An unknown amount of money was taken from both locations.
The men fled in a silver BMW SUV, Bridges said.
