TRUSSVILLE — The new Hewitt-Trussville Stadium opening date will likely be set at the next construction progress meeting, according to Trussville City Schools Superintendent Pattie Neill.
Neill said all information about the stadium should be finalized by Monday, Oct. 20, when the Trussville City Board of Education next meets.
At the Oct. 1 meeting, there were progress reports on the landscaping, elevator installation and inspections, Neill said.
Neill said construction is “moving along quickly now.”
Oct. 3 had been the target date to open the new stadium. Hewitt-Trussville will have remaining home games Oct. 24 against Hoover and Oct. 31 against Clay-Chalkville.
The new Hewitt-Trussville Stadium is being constructed by Trussville-based Blalock Building Company for $14,626,550.
