TRUSSVILLE — Rob Langford and The Beale Street Band is hosting a concert to benefit Down Syndrome Alabama on Sunday, Oct. 5 at Avondale Brewing Company.
The concert begins at 4:30 p.m.
October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month and the goal is to build awareness and improve the quality of life for individuals living with Down syndrome. The event will feature music and kids’ activities. All proceeds will be donated to Down Syndrome Alabama so it can continue to advocate for individuals living with Down syndrome.
“It is both an honor and privilege to perform for the people of Birmingham,” said Rob Langford, a Trussville resident who owns and performs for Elvis Rob Productions. “Down syndrome can touch any family regardless of race, income or social status.”
Avondale Brewing Company is located at 201 41st St. S. in Birmingham. A suggested $10 donation is the cost to attend.
Down Syndrome Alabama is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting awareness, acceptance and advocacy for individuals of all ages with Down syndrome.
Elvis Rob Productions provides DJ and KJ services along with Langford’s tribute shows to Elvis. Langford is married to Stephanie, and their two-year-old son Zachary was diagnosed with Down syndrome at birth.
