Trussville officials have set the final community meeting with the consultant on the downtown master plan.
The meeting will be Monday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. at Trussville City Hall.
“We will also post the zoning changes needed for implementation of the plan for public hearing on this night,” City Clerk Lynn Porter said.
Any suggestions or changes to the plan must be submitted to KPS Group’s Jason Fondren not later than Friday, Sept. 20 to be included in the draft to be posted.
Once the Planning Board has approved the plan, the Trussville City Council will need to acknowledge acceptance of it, Porter said. The city council will have to approve the zoning changes, and the Design Review Board will need to adopt the design standards for the downtown district.
Fondren will attend the Oct. 3 city council workshop at Trussville City Hall to briefly outline the plan to the city council.
