BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department (BPD) is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a robbery investigation.
According to the BPD, on Saturday, Dec. 10, West Precinct officers were dispatched to EZ Comm (2254 Bessemer Road) on a report of a theft.
“Officers arrived on the scene when they learned a suspect had entered the store, asked to see merchandise belonging to the store, then began to walk out of the store with the unpaid merchandise,” Officer Truman Fitzgerald stated. “The suspect grabbed a gun and threatened an employee of the business. The suspect drove off from the business in a White Infiniti 250 Sedan.”
Fitzgerald stated that no injuries were reported.
Authorities ask if there is anyone with information on the identity of the suspect to contact BPD Robbery Detectives at 205-254-1764 or remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
