LEEDS — The Leeds Greenwave remained undefeated and took control of 5A Region 6 following their thrilling 14-13 win over the Moody Blue Devils Friday, October 14. Conner Nelson and tailback Jeremiah Hunter combined for 130 yards, scoring both Green Wave touchdowns, and quarterback Jarod Latta connected on a crucial 38-yard pass to Miles Jones late in the first quarter, setting up the second Leeds touchdown.

The Green Wave defense also held Moody scoreless in the first half, holding the high-powered Blue Devil offense to just 275 yards on the night. Special teams also contributed by blocking a Moody field-goal attempt in the second quarter.
Leeds can wrap up the region title with a home win over Lincoln on Friday, October 21.
