BIRMINGHAM – Burnt remains of an adult black male were discovered inside a burning motor vehicle on the 3000 block of Avenue South in Birmingham on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, at 10:46 p.m.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the decedent on Wednesday, Oct. 12, as 21-year-old Anthony Keith Hall Jr., of Birmingham.
“The decedent’s burnt remains were discovered inside a burning motor vehicle after reports of gunfire in the immediate area where the burning vehicle was found,” Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said. “The death is being investigated as a homicide.”
This case is being investigated by the Birmingham Police Department.
