BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department (BPD) arrested a 19-year-old female for a murder that occurred on Monday, September 5, at approximately 7 p.m.
According to the BPD, Sabrina Andrews, of Birmingham, was arrested for the murder of 23-year-old Keondra Ra’Shun Hollis.
BPD Homicide detectives presented this case to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. Detectives obtained a Capital Murder warrant. Andrews will be held in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.

“South Precinct officers were dispatched to the 300 Block of Martin Luther King Junior Drive on a report of a person shot,” Officer Truman Fitzgerald stated. “Officers arrived on the scene and were met by friends and family of the victim.”
Officers learned the victim had been shot and was being transported to Princeton Hospital via private vehicle. Princeton Hospital staff pronounced the victim dead.
“The preliminary investigation suggests the victim was shot by the suspect in the 200 Block of 3rd Avenue Southwest after a verbal argument,” Fitzgerald stated. “The victim was inside of a vehicle when shot.”

This is Birmingham’s 98th murder investigation of 2022, including six justifiable death investigations.
