Odessa Smith, 84, passed away on August 31, 2022, in Montgomery.

Odessa is survived by Charlotte and Wayne Birch – daughter and son-in-law; Jerry Carden – son, Mildred Fisher – sister; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Odessa is preceded in death by Homer Edwards – father, Lillian Cooper Edwards – mother, nine brothers and sisters, Paul Smith – husband, and four precious children taken in childhood by cystic fibrosis.
Visitation for Mrs. Smith will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home from 12:30 p.m. until 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.
Memorial donations can be made in Odessa’s name to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
