Tony Sciara, Sr., born on September 16, 1952, has been called to heaven to spread his warmth, laughter, compassion, understanding, and heart full of love up above with all the other angels.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Becky Marie, father, Fred Sr., mother, Sara, and brother, Sam (Diane).
He is survived by his loving wife, Venita of 47 years; his caring sister, Ann Pitts (Anthony); loving brother and best friend, Fred Jr (Diane); his son, Tony, Jr. (Paige); daughter, JeanAnn and his grandchildren, Sabrina, Adriana, Joshua and Tony, III. He also leaves behind many wonderful nieces and nephews. Tony “Papa” was a friend to all he met.
His generosity and steadfast love touched the hearts of all those who knew him. Our lives may be darker, but heaven is now brighter.
“We love you!” Friends and family will gather at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville on Tuesday, August 30, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The funeral for Tony will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial’s chapel.
The committal service will take place at Elmwood Cemetery immediately following the chapel service.
