BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal crash that occurred Sunday, August 7, at approximately 5:56 a.m.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Tommie James Boglin, 30, of Birmingham, was the occupant of a motor vehicle traveling west on Ishkooda Wenonah Road Southwest. For an unknown reason, the vehicle left the roadway, where it struck a tree and caught fire after coming to rest down an embankment.

Bolgin was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the cause and circumstances surrounding the wreck.
