UPDATE: The Street Department has cleared the tree from the roadway.
“There’s a phone wire hanging extremely low, and will be hard for an SUV to pass through,” Lieutenant Clint Riner said. “We have contacted Century Link but have not received an ETA.”

TRUSSVILLE — The storm has caused a tree to block a roadway in Trussville and is wrapped in powerlines.
According to the Trussville Police Department (TPD), the tree is blocking Queens Town Road in the 3400 Block.
“It is a dangerous situation, and power is out in that area,” Chief Eric Rush said. “The power company has been notified.”
It is unknown at this time how long the power will be out in that area. Therefore, citizens are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
