TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department (TPD) is investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Friday, July 8, at approximately 3:36 p.m.
According to the TPD, a bald black male with a cut above his left eye, wearing a long green pullover and a mask, entered PNC Bank located at 3501 Roosevelt Boulevard.
Cheif Eric Rush said the suspect demanded money and implied that he had a gun but never showed it during the robbery.
The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money in a white older model truck, possibly heading in the direction of Valley Road.
Rush said that no one was injured during the robbery.
TPD, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, and Birmingham Police Department are searching for the suspect.
“We’re fortunate that nobody was injured; all he got was the property instead of harming somebody,” Rush said.
The story will be updated when more information is available.
