JEFFERSON COUNTY — To assist the City of Birmingham with traffic management during the World Games, the Alabama Department of Transportation announces the following lane closure(s):
- The 17th Street Ramp to downtown
- Beginning today at 3 p.m., the left turn lane onto Reverend Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd. will be closed.
- This closure will last for the duration of the World Games, reopening on July 19, 2022.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this maintenance operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
