CLEBURNE COUNTY — A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of an Oxford man on Monday, June 6, at approximately 1:07 p.m.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Deven J. Lancaster, 27, was fatally injured when the 1984 Mack dump truck he was driving left the roadway, struck a guardrail, and overturned in a creek.
Lancaster had jumped from his vehicle while it was in motion and was transported to an area hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The crash occurred on Cleburne County 13, approximately two miles south of Heflin.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
