JEFFERSON COUNTY — The Alabama Highway Patrol was notified of a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 459 southbound near the 29 mile marker at approximately 7:02 a.m. Monday, May 23.
All lanes will be shut down for an undetermined amount of time. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is on scene assisting with traffic control.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible by utilizing alternate routes. ALEA will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
