MARION COUNTY — A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Red Bay man on Monday, May 9, at approximately 4:22 p.m.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Johnathan W. Bailey, 39, was fatally injured when the 2008 GMC Sierra he was driving left the roadway and struck a guardrail.
Bailey, who was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred on Interstate 22 near the 24-mile marker, approximately three miles north of Guin, in Marion County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
