ST. CLAIR COUNTY — Beginning at 9 a.m., Monday, May 9, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close the right lane of I-59 southbound for asphalt paving and joint sealing operations between Milepost 157 and Milepost 148 in St. Clair County.
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 9 p.m. on Monday, May 9.
These same lane closures will be in place from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, May 9, through Saturday, May 14.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Construction Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
