SPRINGVILLE — The Tigers got a walk-off win Monday evening, April 18, when Tyler Harrison bunted and reached on an error to score Justin White for a 5-4 victory over one of the top 10 programs in 5A, Leeds.
Springville improves to 15-13 on the season overall, but they’re sitting on the outside of the 6A Area 13 playoff at 4-4. Leeds, 24-9, is 6-0 in 5A Area 10, and is assured of hosting a playoff game this week. The Green Wave will play Ardmore in a best-of-three series beginning at 4:30 p.m. on April 22 and 23 (if necessary).
In this game, Springville’s Ethan Davis went 2-for-2 with two walks and scored. White went 1-for-2 and scored once as well as having the game-winning bunt. Asa Morrison went 1-for-3 with a walk and scored, while Payne Bryan went 2-for-3 and scored. Junior shortstop Zach Brown went 1-for-3 but had 2 RBI.
For Leeds, Alex Bradford went 1-for-3 with 2 RBI, while Peyton Moore went 1-for-4 and scored. Graham Gulock went 1-for-2, walked, and scored for the Green Wave.
