SPRINGVILLE — The Springville Area Rotary Club has named its Students and Teacher of the Month.
Ty Ragsdale attends St. Clair County High School (SCCHS) and works two jobs. He is a mechanic and works on a ranch with horses. He displays a great work ethic in and out of school.
Emily Ingle is SCCHS Class President and is a Beta Club and SGA member. In addition, she enjoys being an athletic trainer, drama club director, and yearbook editor during her free time. She is fully committed to attending Baylor University in the fall.
Bre Miller is a Springville High School (SHS) cheerleader and a member of the Beta Club. Bre plans to attend Mississippi State University and major in criminology.
Johnnie Wolf is an SHS football, basketball, and soccer team member. He is also in the Beta Club. Johnnie plans to attend the University of Alabama and major in Nursing.
Maranda Hicks is a very influential Science teacher at SHS. She is the senior sponsor, and she leads our Peer Helpers Club.
Coach Warren House is the longest-tenured coach at SHS. He is the athletic director, head volleyball coach, and girls’ basketball coach. He is also a gifted science teacher.
The Rotary International is a global network of 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders whose motto is ‘Service above Self.’ The Springville Area Club is currently a satellite club of the Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club and will soon become a stand-alone club. #rotary6860 #ServiceAboveSelf
