BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department (BPD) arrested a Birmingham man wanted in connection to a robbery investigation at 700 Valley Avenue in Birmingham.
According to the BPD, Timothy Boggan, 20, of Birmingham, robbed a community member at gunpoint of their personal belongings. Boggan was armed with a handgun and fired shots at the victim.

Boggan turned himself into police custody at the Birmingham Police Headquarters on Thursday, March 31, 2022.
“Birmingham Police Detectives presented information on the case to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office,” Officer Truman Fitzgerald said. “After an assessment of the information, detectives obtained warrants for robbery first degree ($60,000) and attempted murder ($60,000).”
Boggan is currently in the custody of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
“The Birmingham Police Department would like to thank the community and our media partners for their help in this Robbery Investigation,” Fitzgerald said. “Your help played a vital role in the apprehension of this suspect.”
