LEEDS — They say all good things must come to an end, and so it is with the Green Wave’s winning streak. Ranburne stopped Leeds 15-6 on Friday evening and dealt Leeds baseball its first loss since March 10.
Ranburne jumped out early, taking a 5-1 lead into the fourth, where. They tacked on 10 more runs in the final four innings to take a 15-6 victory.
Alex Bradford went 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Peyton Moore added two RBI, and Conner Nelson added another. Caden Vance went 1-for-3 and scored.
Will Landers went 2-for-2 with 2 RBIs, including a mammoth home run. Andrew Howard went 1-for-4. Jarod Latta and Devin Sanders both scored for Leeds.
Latta took the loss for the Green Wave, allowing three hits and four runs in one inning, striking out one batter. Leeds plays at home on Monday, April 11, against Oak Grove at 6:30 p.m.
