ETOWAH COUNTY — State Troopers are searching for a driver who left the scene of a wreck that fatally injured a 14-year-old victim on Saturday, April 2.
“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m. Saturday, April 2, has claimed the life of a Crossville teen,” Senior Trooper Justin O’Neal stated in a press release. “The 14-year-old was fatally injured when the 2003 Honda CH-80 motorcycle they were operating was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle that left the scene.”
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred on Alabama 75 near the 68 mile marker, approximately three miles south of Geraldine.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
