TRUSSVILLE — The Hewitt-Trussville boys golf team went 3-0 on Monday to capture the 2022 Husky Invitational Match Play title.
The event was held at Grayson Valley, and was the second consecutive year the Huskies hosted the event.
In the quarterfinal round, the Huskies had a solid performance as they defeated Mortimer Jordan to advance. The semifinal match against Hoover finished tied 2.5-2.5. That set up a playoff between Stuart Dickson and the No. 1 seed from Hoover. Dickson hit his approach shot within 15 feet of the flag to set up a birdie putt.
Dickson calmly rolled in the putt to send his team onto the finals. In the championship match, the Huskies dominated Enterprise winning 4.5-0.5.
