TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department (TPD) conducted a traffic stop that led to a possible human smuggling case on Tuesday, March 22, at approximately 11:30 a.m.
According to TPD, the stop was initiated for a moving violation on I-59 northbound at mile marker 142.
“During the traffic enforcement act, officers observed indicators of possible transportation of undocumented noncitizens,” Lieutenant Clint Riner said.
The Trussville Police Department is actively working with The Department of Homeland Security on a possible human smuggling case.
