JEFFERSON & ST. CLAIR COUNTIES — Beginning at 7 p.m., Sunday, March 20, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close the right or left lanes of I-20 westbound for Paving Work between just east of the Brompton exit (Milepost 148) and the Leeds exit (Milepost 140).
Travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 5 a.m. (middle lane) and 6 a.m. (outside or inside lane) on Monday, March 21.
These same lane closures will be in place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. (middle lane) and 6 a.m. (outside or inside lane) from Monday, March 21 thru Saturday, March 26.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this construction operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
