PINSON — A 42-year-old construction worker was killed in a workplace in Pinson on Thursday, March 10, around 6:50 a.m.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding an accident that occurred at a construction site in the Innsbrooke subdivision of Pinson.
“Upon arrival, it appeared that the supports of a concrete truck with a boom extension sunk into the mud, causing the extension to swing around and strike a worker at the scene,” Sergeant Joni Money said.
The 42-year-old male worker was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Jefferson County Sheriff’s Detectives are on the scene and are conducting a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding this accident,” Money said.
