JEFFERSON COUNTY —Weather conditions permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will conduct a lane closure to facilitate utility repairs on AL-38 (US-280) westbound near Overton Road in Birmingham, as follows:
- Work will begin Saturday, January 29 at 7:30 a.m.
- This work will require various lane closures in the area. At least one lane will remain open in the westbound direction at all times.
- All lanes are expected to re-open no later than Saturday, January 29 at 5 p.m.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Construction Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
