TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Veterans Committee plans to host a “Blood is Life” blood drive during the Veterans Outreach Day on Sunday, November 7, at the Trussville Civic Center from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
All donors will receive a recognition item and a free cholesterol screening. Donors must be 16 years or older, weigh at least 110 pounds, and show a valid photo ID. Written parental permission is required for 16-year-olds.
Veterans Committee President Chad Carroll said that Veterans Outreach Day will be a time to come together and show our appreciation as a community and a time for veterans to gather resources and information.
“Next week, we will reflect and remember our Veterans who sacrificed their lives for us, now it’s our turn as a community to stand and give to those in need,” Carroll said. “As a community, we can potentially save the life of someone by giving just a few minutes of our day giving blood.”
