JEFFERSON & ST. CLAIR COUNTIES — The Alabama Department of Transportation will close the right lane of I-20 eastbound in Jefferson and St. Clair Counties for shoulder paving work between the Leeds exit (mile marker 140) and just east of the Brompton exit (mile marker 148) weather permitting the lane closure will begin at 4 a.m. on Thursday, October 7.
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 3 p.m. on Thursday. This same lane closure will occur from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. on October 8 through Saturday, October 9.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Construction Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
