TRUSSVILLE — The winners of the 2021 T2GO Scholarship were announced after an essay contest by Trussville To Go.
Abby Weems, of Hewitt-Trussville High School won the $2,500 scholarship.
Trussville To Go is a local restaurant delivery company servicing the greater Trussville area. The T2GO scholarship was formed by Ben & Amanda Short as a way of giving back to the communities that have supported T2GO’s mission of delivering local meals.
“We are excited to give back to the community in the form of this scholarship and want to thank our restaurant partners for trusting us with their food delivery needs,” said Ben Short. “Without our partners and this supportive community, we wouldn’t be able to give back in this way, so I want to express our thanks for everyone that played a role in making this a reality. I also want to congratulate Abby on a very well-written essay and wish her the best in all of her future endeavors.”
In the scholarships’ first year there was a two-way tie and Isabella Weyerman (Hewitt Trussville) & Marques McKinney (Clay Chalkville) each won a T2GO scholarship.
