JEFFERSON COUNTY — With severe weather threatening many parts of central Alabama on Tuesday, school officials in Jefferson County have taken notice.
JefCoEd released the following statement on Tuesday morning: “Due to the possibility of severe weather, all after school activities for Tuesday May 4th, including after school care (CEZ), are canceled.”

The school system says it will continue monitoring the weather and will provided further updates if needed.
This announcement would also scratch any area softball tournaments scheduled for Tuesday in Jefferson County.
