The final Alabama high school softball rankings have been set with Class 7A No. 1 Hewitt-Trussville and Class 6A No. 4 Springville representing the Tribune-coverage area.
The Huskies (33-2-1, 4-1) most recently notched an 18-8 area win over No. 7 Vestavia Hills thanks in part to two grand slams and nine RBIs from Jenna Lord. Fourth-ranked Bob Jones is scheduled to visit Trussville on Thursday.
Springville (27-8, 6-0) has secured home-field advantage for the upcoming Class 6A, Area 13 tournament, which will feature a four-team field of Oxford, Pell City, Southside-Gadsden and the Tigers.
