STEELE — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is investigating after a 23-year-old man was killed in a crash in St. Clair County.
Dalton Blakley, 23, of Gallant, was killed in the wreck that happened around 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021.
Blakley was driving a 2002 Mazda B2300 truck that left the roadway and struck a ditch on Loop Road, about eight miles south of Steele.
“Blakley was partially ejected and succumbed to his injuries,” said Trooper Justin O’Neal. “He was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The Mazda B2300 was the only vehicle involved in the accident.
