TRUSSVILLE — The city of Trussville announced all city offices and facilities will close on Monday, Feb. 15, at 5 p.m., until further notice.
“Weather and road conditions will determine the re-opening,” said Mayor Buddy Choat.
The National Weather Service is monitoring a system carrying freezing rain, rain and sleet that will impact central Alabama through 9 p.m. Monday. Some snow is expected in the far northwest portion of central Alabama. Significant impacts over west Alabama will include ice accumulations that will cause travel issues, downed trees and power outages, according to forecasters.
Below freezing temperatures are expected to continue Monday evening into Tuesday.
