JEFFERSON COUNTY — According to a Monday announcement from JefCoEd, the system will not hold classes on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.
The decision was made, due to the threat of winter weather and hazardous road conditions across Jefferson County on Monday and Tuesday. According to JefCoEd, all Jefferson County schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday. Student, faculty and staff should not report school.
“While we will not hold classes remotely, students should check Schoology for assignments that they can complete on their own,” read the Monday announcement. “Teachers will be flexible and work with students who are not able to complete assignments at this time.”
No breakfast or lunch will be served on Tuesday. The school system also says no extracurricular activities will be permitted until further notice.
