Cynthia Lawson, 60, passed away on Jan. 23, 2021, in Birmingham, AL. C
ynthia was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend who had a very deep devotion to her family and to her Cathoilc faith.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her father Franklin Mason, her mother Cecelia Shattuck, her daughters Cecelia Lawson and Mary Rose Lawson, and her niece Janet Borden.
Cynthia is survived by her husband Richard Lawson – of Clay; her brother Frank Mason (Lorraine)-of Gardendale; her sister Tonya Payne (Russell)-of Irondale Her son Richard Lawson Jr (Brooke)-of Kimberly; her daughter Christina Lawson-of Clay; her daughter Shelley Laird (Jonathan)-of Madison; her son Jordan Lawson (Amy)-of New Market; and her very dear friend Vickie Simpson (Ray)- of Odenville. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Justin Lawson, Olivia Lawson, Haylee Lawson, Jonah Lawson, Micah Lawson, Sara Laird, Emily Laird, and James Laird.
Visitation was held Thursday Jan. 28 at Holy Infant of Prague Catholic Church (8090 Gadsden Hwy Trussville Al 35173) with a funeral mass at 11 A.M. Burial: Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
Memorial donations can be made in Cynthia’s name to St. Vincent DePaul Society Holy Infant Chapter.
