TRUSSVILLE — The city of Trussville was featured this month in Business View Magazine, a national online publication for entrepreneurs, business owners, executives and startups.
Mayor Buddy Choat was interviewed for the article, which was focused on economic development taking place in U.S. cities. Even amid the coronavirus pandemic, the city of Trussville has continued to be successful, gaining the attention of business experts nationwide.
Along with the history of the city of Trussville, the article contained information about the city’s growth in population and amenities the city has to offer. Those highlights included Trussville City Schools, athletics, recreation, and successful businesses.
Choat said he hopes to continue the promotion of the city and recruitment of businesses. The redevelopment of the downtown area is one way Choat said he hopes to bring more people and businesses into Trussville.
TURNERBATSON Architects, who is overseeing downtown redevelopment, was also featured in the article.
Choat discussed plans to alleviate traffic on Highway 11, including the Loop Road project, which Dunn Construction has been hired to complete.
“They fit our needs and are always willing to help when they can,” Choat told Business View Magazine, about Dunn Construction.
Other aspects of Trussville featured in the magazine include housing, planning, and an educational corridor which is in the works for the city.
