HOOVER — The Hoover Police Department said two people charged in connection to a Nov. 25 bank robbery in Hoover may also be suspects in a Trussville Bank robbery.
John Lance Cameron, 56, of Dutton, Ala. and Rose Maria Tucker, 55, are both charged with robbery first-degree.
Hoover Police said the robbery happened at 12:21 p.m. at BBVA Bank on Montgomery Highway. Witnesses told police that a man with a mask and a gun entered the bank and demanded money from the teller.
Detectives believe the same suspect attempted to rob a bank in Trussville earlier on the same day. The incident in Trussville was reported at 10:53 a.m. from Pinnacle Bank at 2064 Gadsden Highway.
Tucker was booked into the Jefferson County Jail on a $50,000 bond. Cameron is facing an additional charge of obstructing justice and was booked into the Hoover City Jail on $115,000 in bonds. Cameron will be transferred to the Jefferson County Jail.
Additional charges are expected in Trussville and Fort Ogelthorpe, Georgia.
