Mrs. Dorothy Thompson, 78, of Talladega, passed away on Dec. 4, 2020.
She was a devoted member of Heritage Place Church of Christ. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She found great joy in her family and serving others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Coy Edwin Purkey and Jean Marie Bradley Purkey; her brother William Garland Purkey; and husband Gary Lee Thompson, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Peggy Thompson Eason (John), Tina Thompson Crocker (Troy), Gary Lee Thompson, Jr. (Jessica), and Michael Thompson; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Chris Patterson (Alan); brother, Ed Purkey; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside service was held on Dec. 8 at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville.
