MOODY — The city of Moody announced the theme for the 2020 Christmas parade. The theme will be “Christmas Vacation.” The parade will begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12.
The Christmas tradition is a family-friendly event. The city warns the parade could be canceled due to circumstances beyond control, so city leaders will make announcements related to the parade on the city’s Facebook page.
Anyone interested in being judged must promote the parade’s theme. Awards will be given for 1st and 2nd place in four categories: (1) Church/Schools (2) Businesses/Organizations (3) Antique Cars/Motorcycles (4) Horses.
An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 12 that is walking, and all floats must be supervised by an adult.
No Santas or full Santa costumes will be allowed. The real Santa will be in attendance.
The Grand Marshal will be Justin Rubin, a Moody resident and owner of Just In Time Towing and Recovery.
