TRUSSVILLE — A traffic signal on North Chalkville Road has been removed after months of flashing.
The signal at the intersection of Norrell Drive has been flashing since the addition of a traffic signal at North Chalkville and Green Drive. The light at Green Drive was added as a part of the Valley Road Extension.
The signal on Norrell Drive was removed by Jefferson County to improve traffic flow in the area.
The removal of the lights is good news for drivers who have complained that many drivers saw the flashing lights as a reason to stop on North Chalkville Road, in front of McDonald’s.
