BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a homicide in the Smithfield neighborhood.
Officers responded to the scene in the 400 block of 4th Street North around 5:10 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020.
A man was found shot to death near an apartment complex in the area. Birmingham Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene. Investigators said there were several men hanging out in the area when shots were fired.
No suspects are in custody.
