BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a homicide in Pratt City. Police believe the victim was killed in a drive-by shooting.
Officers were called to the scene around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, in the 700 block of Carline Avenue. They found Rodger Burr II, 41, of Birmingham inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire & Rescue responded and pronounced Burr dead on the scene.
Police believe Burr was in his car at the intersection of Avenue T and Carline Avenue when another vehicle pulled up beside him and someone from that vehicle opened fire.
