TRUSSVILLE — Hewitt-Trussville junior Omari Kelly announced his fourth SEC scholarship offer on Monday afternoon.
The talented pass-catcher took to Twitter with the news: “Blessed to Receive an Offer from Auburn University.”
Kelly, listed as a three-star prospect in the Class of 2022, has been the Huskies’ most explosive receiver through the first half of the year, averaging nearly 16 yards per reception on his way to 221 yards and two scores. He pulled down six receptions for 98 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown last week against No. 1 Thompson.
The 6-foot-2 junior was a problem for the otherwise salty Thompson defense, as he secured receptions of 37, 21,18 and 13 yards in the loss. As far as 10-plus yard receptions, Kelly was responsible for four of Hewitt-Trussville’s six such grabs last week.
He also holds offers from Tennessee, Michigan, Kentucky, Arkansas, Arizona State and others.
Kelly and the Huskies (4-1, 2-1) will look to rebound from their first loss this Friday night at Huffman.
