BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said an apartment at Tammera Trail Apartments, across from Chalkville Elementary School, seemed to be the target in a Wednesday night shooting.
Deputies were called to the scene at 11 p.m. on Aug. 12, 2020. They found at least 60 shell casings in the parking lot.
“Most of the rounds from those casings entered a single apartment at the complex,” said Sgt. Joni Money. “No one was injured during the shooting.”
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation. If you have any information on this incident, you are asked to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
