BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified a man hit and killed by a car in Birmingham, but his family has not been notified.
The 68-year-old black man was possibly homeless, according to Coroner Bill Yates.
He was hit in the area of 1st Avenue South and 32nd Street, in Birmingham. The incident happened on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020, around 5:45 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle reported the incident and stayed on the scene to speak with investigators, according to Yates.
The Birmingham Police Department is investigating.
