BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened at an apartment complex in the east part of the county, on Father’s Day.
Deputies first responded to the scene on Sunday, June 21, 2020, after receiving calls about a shooting in the apartment complex on Haversham Drive. A 31-year-old man had been shot and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The victim is expected to survive.
Witnesses told deputies that several people had been shooting at each other. Bullet holes were found in multiple apartments in the complex.
