Their arrests stem from a report of a robbery at around 10 p.m. at the Crossroads at Greystone shopping center. The victims in the robbery claimed that they were at the location to meet and sell vape cartridges to a social media acquaintance. While they waited, two males approached, one armed with a handgun.
The two males proceeded to attack one of the victims and one of the attackers then stole his car. The second suspect fled the scene in another vehicle.
The stolen car was recovered in a nearby parking lot. The injured victim was transported to Brookwood Freestanding ER by ambulance.
While detectives were interviewing the second victim, patrol officers located the suspect vehicle on John Hawkins Parkway near Merchants Drive and conducted a traffic stop. The three suspects were arrested and brought to the Hoover City Jail. They are to be transferred to the Shelby County Jail.
