TRUSSVILLE — The Hewitt-Trussville Science Olympiad team won 2nd place at a regional tournament.
The team will now head to the state competition at Auburn University.
The regional competition was held on Saturday, Feb. 29. Individual awards are as follows:

Ellie Hulwi – Forensics, 2nd
Emily White – Forensics, 2nd
Emma Jennings – Disease Detectives, 1st, Codebusters, 3rd
Kaitlyn Crowe – Experimental Design, 3rd
Brooklyn Stooksberry – Sound of Music, 2nd
Kent Glover – Sound of Music, 2nd
Zach McBride – Codebusters 3rd, Disease Detectives, 1st
